New market leading products launched from Abbey and A&L

Please see below the latest product news for Abbey and Alliance & Leicester effective from Wednesday 3rd February 2010.

Abbey

They are launching a new all Key Account exclusive 2 year Fixed rate Homebuyer Plus product, 70% LTV, 3.69% with a £995 fee.

They are also launching the following market leading offers:

  • 2 year Fixed rate product, 70% LTV, 3.44% with a £995 fee and maximum loan size £250k
  • 2 year Tracker Homebuyer product, 70% LTV, 2.49% (BBR + 1.99%) with a £995 fee and maximum loan size of £250k

In addition, the following Fixed rate products have been reduced resulting in further market leading rates:

  • 3 year Fixed rate Homebuyer product, 75% LTV, 4.75% with a £995 fee
  • 5 year Fixed rate Homebuyer product, 75% LTV, 5.44% with a £799 fee

Alliance & Leicester

They are launching a number of new products as follows:

  • 2 year Fixed rate product, 70% LTV, with a market leading rate of 2.89% with a 2% fee and maximum loan size £1m
  • 2 year Fixed rate Homebuyer and Remortgage products, 80% LTV, 4.34% with a 2% fee
  • 2 year Fixed rate Homebuyer and Remortgage products, 80% LTV, 4.84% with a £1,495 fee
  • 2 year Fixed rate Homebuyer and Remortgage products, 80% LTV, 5.04% with a £495 fee
  • 2 year Tracker product, 70% LTV, with a market leading rate of 1.84% (BBR + 1.34%) with a 2% fee and maximum loan size of £550k

Remember - before submitting a case you must always check affordability using their on-line calculator. If they decline or restrict a case for affordability and the customer subsequently advises that further income is available or debt is to be cleared, you should reuse the calculator to confirm the case is now affordable before appealing. Calls should not be made to the underwriting team to go through an affordability calculation.
